Milnerflour Milling, privately owned milling business in Tennessee, is set to takeover Cereal Food Processors, one of the leading flour milling companies in the US, for an undisclosed sum.

The company plans to work with its sister company, Pendleton Flour Mills (PFM), for the acquisition, and operate the combined entity under a new name in the future.

Subject to regulatory approval, the acquisition is expected to close this spring.

The combined entity would operate a network of flour mills in ten states, and have a daily milling capacity of 164,000cwts. It would run flour mills in the states of Alabama, California, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Ohio, Oregon and Utah.

Milner Milling is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee with flour mills in Barnesville and Rome, Georgia, and Birmingham, Alabama. The company along with PFM supplies bulk and bag flour to various food manufacturers and foodservice customers.

Established in 1972, Cereal Foods Processors operates ten flour mills across the US and provides various flours for use in pancakes, tortillas, biscuits, muffins, breading and batters. It caters to food service and retail trade businesses.
