Founders Brewing, a US-based craft brewery, has partnered with specialty beer importer James Clay to expand the distribution of its beers in the UK.
Beginning 14 March 2014, James Clay will offer beers from the American craft brewer on draught nationwide.
Founders Brewing president John Green said: "We've been looking at export opportunities for a while now, and we're excited to partner with James Clay in making the United Kingdom one of our first international markets."
Initially Founders All Day IPA will offered in the UK followed by the launch of the company's year-round and seasonal beers in keg by summer 2014. The All Day IPA is an American session IPA, which is brewed at 4.7% ABV.
Founders Brewing co-founder Dave Engbers said that the company recognized the need for a full-flavored IPA with a lower ABV.
"The challenge was creating a beer that had intense hop aromatics balanced with the malts without packing a big ABV punch," Engbers added.
Besides this, the company will also introduce other beers such as Centennial IPA and Rubaeus to the UK market later in 2014.
