Premium Australian chicken retailer Lenard’s has launched a new Mexican-inspired ‘Cantina Range’.

The range includes two new products, Burritos and Quesadillas, added to Lenard’s stores nationwide, complementing the existing One-Pan “Fajita” Sizzle stir-fry product.

Lenard’s said the demand for international-style cuisines at home, including the popular Tex-Mex night, was on the rise.

“The Cantina Range is another ready-to-cook creation that will help customers make dinnertime a fun, family-oriented experience,” said Lenard Poulter, founder of Lenard’s.

“Meals that are easy-to-make, enjoyable and shareable are incredibly popular at the moment,” Mr Poulter said. “Our existing Mexican-inspired products have become crowd favourites, so we decided to broaden the range to provide even more fresh options to consumers,” he said.

“The Mexican Cantina Range plays exceptionally well to the street-food trend that Australians are loving at the moment,” Mr Poulter said.

Lenard’s said that the new range aimed to give consumers “easy to create and delicious home-cooking options that don’t require much effort”.

The first Lenard’s store opened in Queensland in 1987, and today employs more than 2,000 staff in over 200 outlets across Australia. Its range includes over 150 ready-to-cook meals.

The Mexican Cantina Range will be available at participating Lenard’s retailers nationwide from March 2014.
