UK-based Sunrise Bakery has secured £75,000 funding from Positive Cashflow Finance, as it seeks to expand its presence and broaden its product portfolio.

Established in 1966, Sunrise Bakery is a producer of Afro-Caribbean bread products that caters to more than 330 independent stockists and retailers across the country. In 2013, the company generated £1.1m in revenues and intends to achieve £1.5m by 2015.

With the new funding in place, the baking firm is seeking to add new roles in production, administration and marketing.

Sunrise Bakery managing director Errol Drummond said, "The invoice discounting facility provides us with the flexibility to achieve our financial goals.

"Being located in the Midlands gives us an ideal base to service our clients nationwide and the successful launch of our premium range fills us with confidence that we will hit our £1.5m sales target by 2015."

Positive Cashflow Finance is an independent invoice finance provider in the range of £10,000 to £1m. It operates offices in Manchester, Birmingham and Basingstoke.
