Albania has decided to make detailed analysis about phytohormones, insecticides, heavy metals and environmental polluters on agricultural products, ATA reported on Monday.
Edmond Panariti, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Water Administration, ordered the National Food Authority to collect samples of fresh agricultural products from all greenhouses and large farms across Albania and send them to the Institute of Food Safety and Veterinary (IFSV) for the analysis.
According to the Agriculture Ministry, IFSV, an internationally certified institute for a series of analysis, will publish soon the results of the analysis of these products to reassure Albanian consumers.
IFSV will provide a security certificate to these farms for their products before they are sent to the market.
