Earnest Eats has received Non-GMO (genetically modified organisms) Project verified certification for its range of Hot & Fit Cereals.
The single-serve cups and multi-serve canisters of Hot & Fit Cereals will have a Non-GMO Project Verification label. The product contains whole oats, amaranth and quinoa.
The company said that its cereals comply with Non-GMO Project standards, which include testing of GMO risk ingredients, facility inspections and an annual audit to ensure that manufacturers avoid GMO.
Earnest Eats president and founder Andrew Aussie said that the company created Hot & Fit hot cereals to put more 'health' in a healthy breakfast with its nourishing combination of superfood grains - oats, quinoa and amaranth - plus whole food nuts, seeds and dried fruits, for more protein and fiber than plain oatmeal.
"Now we're taking 'earnest-ness' to the next level by working in tandem with the Non-GMO Project to verify our ingredients are all non-GMO, giving breakfast eaters everywhere more peace of mind," Aussie added.
The company's portfolio includes Superfood Blueberry Chia; American Blend with cranberries, almonds and flax; Mayan Blend with cocoa, pumpkin Seeds and cashews; and Asia Blend with mango and green tea.
The vegan and wheat-free hot cereals are claimed to offer 6g protein, 5g fiber and 160-180 calories.
