Finland-based retailer Kesko will unveil its new own-brand food products range, K-Menu, in April.
The retailer will initially launch meat products and processed meats that are manufactured in the local market.
The products are claimed to be tested at Kesko Food's own Product Research Unit to maintain high quality, noted Kesko.
Kesko Food president Jorma Rauhala said that the role of own brands in the groceries market is growing strongly, and the company sees many possibilities in launching a new, very price-competitive own-brand product range.
"We believe that there will be demand among K-food store customers for the new K-Menu product range," Rauhala added.
K-Menu product portfolio will include fresh and processed meat, pasta, juices, frozen foods and canned foods, among others.
The products will be available at K-citymarket, K-supermarket, K-market and K-extra outlets.
Kesko is a retail specialist with around 2,000 stores in the Nordic and Baltic countries, Russia, and Belarus.
