Brazilian dairy company Latco has introduced two variants of chocolate milk containing flakes of real coconut, ChocoLatco+, developed using SIG Combibloc's drinksplus technology.
The two variants of ChocoLatco+ include chocolate with coconut flakes and chocolate and tropical strawberry with coconut flakes.
The drinksplus technology enables beverages containing around 10% natural particulate content to be processed and aseptically filled in combiblocSmall 250 ml carton packs on standard filling machines from SIG Combibloc.
It will also help in adding pieces of real fruit and vegetables or cereals to the beverages without any difficulty.
SIG Combibloc's filling machine CFA 712 has been fitted with an easy-to-install drinksplus kit, in order to fill the beverages.
SIG Combibloc South America Marketing head Luciana Galvão said that consumers today are more interested than ever in eating a healthy and varied diet.
"Beverages containing perceptible, natural particulates combine both. They are right up-to-the-minute, and meet consumers' demands," added Galvão.
