The vineyard, which is spread over an area of around four acres, currently grows three variants of white grapes and two types of reds.
This is certified by National Organic Plan, which is managed by the US Department of Agriculture, reported Crozet Gazette.
Loving Cup Vineyard and Winery co-owner Karl Hambsch said that it is so complicated to get certified and the vineyard had conversations for four years.
"You have to follow NOP regulations for three years before you can be certified. There are annual inspections. About five percent of places also get surprise inspections. It needs to be challenging in order to mean something. It gives customers assurance that we do what we say we do," added Hambsch.
The varieties being harvested at the vineyard are grape disease and cold resistant, Loving Cup Vineyard claims.
The winery will have a capacity to produce hundreds of cases, including 2012 vintage and 2013 vintage annually.
