The Nordic meat producer and trader has recently become a member and made its commitment towards RTRS public.
HKScanAs the leading Nordic meat expert, HKScan has taken a great step in promoting more responsibility in the soy supply chain used in animal feed. Not only has it become a member of our organization but also ensured that, by the end of 2018, all soy used in its products will meet the requirements of the RTRS Production Standard.
“We will, together with our suppliers in all our home markets – Finland, the Baltic countries, Sweden and Denmark – continuously move towards our responsibly produced soy target over the next five years.”, said CEO Hannu Kottonen.
With HKScan being one of largest meat producers in Europe, we expect its commitment to the RTRS to contribute substantially to responsible soy development and its dissemination to other stakeholders.
