Bischof + Klein is American Avery Dennison (AD) Group's best emerging supplier. From a total of approximately 6,000 suppliers around the world, the globally leading producer of laminates for manufacturing self-adhesive labels had invited the 110 best to attend a symposium in Cleveland, Ohio. Lengerich-based packaging and film specialist Bischof + Klein was one of eight companies presented with an award there.
Family-owned company B+K manufactures high-quality film for Avery Dennison; this is in turn used to produce Pressure Sensitive Labels (PSL) for product identification. "We qualified with innovative film quality. Our customer foresees extensive growth potential in this segment in the European market", explained managing director Dr. Volker Pfennig. B+K is anticipating double-digit sales in the millions in this market segment in the future and has invested in a high-performance extrusion line. At the prize ceremony, Bischof + Klein's extraordinary commitment, its innovativeness, high product quality and outstanding service were emphasised.
The managing director travelled to the event in the USA together with Uwe Wiegand, head of the industrial packaging marketing department, and development engineer Frank Heermann. Co-operation in the development of sustainable innovations and their speedy launch onto the market formed the focus of discussions and presentations. Dr. Volker Pfennig: "Sustainability is a central corporate goal for both companies and a direct point of contact between Avery Dennison and Bischof + Klein."
