Sparkling Drink Systems, Pat'sBCB partner to develop beer concentrates

Sparkling Drink Systebeerms International (SDS) will develop a range of beer concentrates in collaboration with Pat's Backcountry Beverages (Pat'sBCB) to enable customers to carbonate ale at home.

The new beer concentrate portfolio from SDS will include a pale ale with 5.2% ABV, a dark ale with 6.1% ABV and a lager 4.2% with ABV. The new range will be available for sale from the third quarter of 2014.

They are available in 50ml sachets and pods to make up to 16oz of beer when mixed with carbonated water.

SDS founder and executive chairman Aaron Serge Bueno said that as part of SDS's ongoing strategy to provide consumers with the ability to make all of their favorite drinks at home; offering beer was the natural next step.

"We are delighted to be working with Pat'sBCB to bring the at-home carbonation market a selection of brew concentrates that contain all the flavor, alcohol by volume content, and aroma of a quality micro brew," added Bueno.

In addition, the company is currently developing an alcohol free and low alcohol lager.

SDS is currently working with retailers to maximize to increase its product presence by introducing bundle packages, point of sale and cross department promotion.
