Ben & Jerry’s, the luxury ice cream brand, is launching its Peanut Butter Cup flavour in 150ml format, following the launch of Peanut Butter Cup 500ml into its Classics range last year.
The new format is available to retailers now.
Ben & Jerry’s Peanut Butter Cup 500ml has performed well since launch in September 2013.
By complementing the take-home format with a 150ml portion, the brand aims to tap into the growing snacking occasion which has seen growth over the last few years.
Alessandra Salvo, Ben & Jerry’s Brand Manager, said:
“Snacking presents a real opportunity for retailers to unlock sales in the Ice Cream category, with the Snacking market enjoying growth of 14% last year.
“By offering Peanut Butter Cup – a flavour which has already proved itself to be immensely popular – in a smaller format, we’re helping retailers to capitalise on the opportunity that snacking presents.”
Ben & Jerry’s Peanut Butter Cup 150ml will add to the existing 150ml Classics range which includes Cookie Dough, Caramel Chew Chew and Chocolate Fudge Brownie.
The new flavour will be packaged in line with the rest of the range, featuring Ben & Jerry’s mascot, Woody the Cow, the brand’s signature blue sky and a colourful pack design showcasing the key ingredient – peanut butter cups.
Ben & Jerry’s Peanut Butter Cup 150ml has an RRP of £1.68 for In Home and £2.04 for Out of Home and each case contains 12 x 150ml tubs.
