Boneheads Grilled Fish and Chicken on Tuesday announced domestic and overseas expansion plans, as the Atlanta-based fast-casual chain inked a franchise development agreement to open five locations in Pakistan.
With two locations opening by the end of the year, Pakistan will be the first country outside the United States to open a Boneheads location.
“We have been working diligently to enrich the brand, allowing us to increase our footprint and presence with our first restaurant overseas,” said Ron Barber, Boneheads chairman. “With the amount of inquiries we have received in 2014, we are on track to open 50 locations in the next three years. As we continue to grow, so will our corporate infrastructure to support our franchisees both domestically and internationally.”
After visiting a Boneheads restaurant in the United States, franchisee Mukaram Ghani signed an agreement to bring Boneheads overseas. "I cannot begin to express the excitement we have for being a part of the Boneheads family,” said Ghani. “We look forward to bringing this culinary delight to Pakistan, and we believe that Boneheads will quickly be rated among our top restaurants for its adaptable food profile, upmarket fast dining and overall experience."
Boneheads also has a 20-store franchise agreement in Southern California and an additional six locations set to open in six states: Texas, Arkansas, New Jersey, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi.
“It has been an active 2014 so far, and we look forward to supporting continued development through the reminder of the year,” continues Barber. “The entry into Pakistan will allow us to target additional countries overseas, like India, as well as continue aggressive growth domestically.”
