o shake up the sector with an array of new launches across its portfolio.The new products are a One Direction “Chart Topping Cupcake Kit”, a Mister Maker Cake Kit and four products in Green’s teatime range: two new Gooey Buns mixes, a Rainbow Cake and Mini Daisy Cakes.
The launches represent a significant investment by the Kerry Foods-owned brand, which has also undergone a complete brand refresh with new logo, pack designs and website.
The launches will be supported by digital and social media, along with a year-long PR campaign, all designed to drive consumer interest in the home-baking sector and encourage trial and repeat purchase.
The products will be on-shelf in Tesco and Sainsbury’s from 19th May, followed by a roll out across the rest of the multiple trade and independents over the coming months.
Capitalising on the ever growing fan base of One Direction, the chocolate mix makes six cupcakes and includes a chocolate icing and cake toppers with a picture of each band member.
The Mister Maker Cake Kit is the first cake mix on the market to include ready-to-roll icing.
It includes three different colours of icing that can be cut and rolled into all sorts of shapes with endless possibilities, and is designed to drive sales amongst pre-school parents and family members.
The new tea-time products are designed to make baking simple for the entire family; the Mini Daisy Cakes come with a daisy shaped cutter and ready to roll icing.
Green’s Gooey Buns are a new addition to the sector offering a choice of strawberry or chocolate gooey centre to each individual bun; whilst the Rainbow Cake is back by popular demand following requests from hundreds of consumers.
