aging firm Country Pure Foods has acquired the portion juice and juice concentrate business as well as certain related assets from Fruitbud Juice.With this transaction, the company will make its juice offerings, including its new and emerging V Blend line of juices available to Fruitbud customers, while expanding its footprint.
The acquisition does not include any plant operations.
Country Pure Foods president and CEO Raymond Lee said, "The acquisition gives us the opportunity to extend our sales reach and expand our market share."
The company will continue to produce under both private label, Ardmore Farms, as well its other brands in its existing facilities in Akron, Ohio; Ellington, Connecticut; Deland, Florida; and Houston, Texas.
The transaction is said to be Country Pure's sixth acquisition, since its original merger and formation. The parties have not disclosed the deal value.
Country Pure Foods is formed by joining four outstanding companies: Natural Country Farms of Ellington, Connecticut; Ohio Pure Foods of Akron, Ohio; Ardmore Farms of DeLand, Florida; and Cal-Tex Citrus Juice of Houston, Texas.
