St. Francis Brewing to establish new brewery, bottling plant

St. Francis Bbottling plant rewing has announced plans to establish a new brewery and bottling plant in St. Francis and Milwaukee, a move that will expand its production capacity to cater to the increasing consumer demand.

The company plans to invest around $8.5m in the proposed brewery that will be spread over an area of around 20,000ft².

St. Francis' brewery will have a capacity to produce 12,000 barrels of beer annually.

The company is currently seeking financial incentives in the form of grants or tax incremental financing from the city of St. Francis.

During 2013, the company had expanded its distribution across Wisconsin, under a contract with Sand Creek Brewing.

St. Francis Brewing had already produced 1,200 barrels of beer in 2013 at its on-site brewery through a contract with Sand Creek.

The company has also opened a beer garden at Humboldt Park, in Bay View.
