US-based iced tea maker China Mist Tea has announced plans to develop new tea blends using RealCup single-serve capsule technology, developed by Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee.
The company will launch five loose-leaf teas tea blends including Blackberry Jasmine Green, Watermelon Black, Passionfruit Black, Strawberry Herbal and Mango Herbal.
All the new tea blends will be available in EcoCup capsule format across the US and Canada.
RealCup capsules have been designed for use with K-Cup compatible single-serve brewers, claims Mother Parkers.
Mother Parkers Tea & Coffee foodservice sales vice president Rusty James said that China Mist is a premium brand that is a natural fit with the company's RealCup capsule technology, and particularly with its new EcoCup format.
"China Mist® Tea joins a growing list of brands that have chosen an independent solution for their capsule format, including Marley® coffee and Tim Hortons® coffee and Numi® organic tea. Our continuous innovation helps deliver the best solutions for producing the quality and taste of each individual brand," added James.
