Mr Giese explains the importance of exhibiting at Emballage 2014, "Emballage is now 95% a French show. So although it has lost its international character it has become a very good show and thermometer for the French food industry. In addition, we also get some leads from North Africa, Belgium and Switzerland."
He explains that Emballage is a 'must-attend' event for food companies and packaging companies, "Emballage is considered by French food companies as a “little Interpack” so it is a milestone show for innovations in the food packaging industry."
"We receive a high level of interest from both new and existing customers including new investment plans of existing customers," He continues."French customers usually skip Interpack and other international shows to make key investment decisions at Salon de l’Emballage."
Ishida will be exhibiting a new Xray model and a new grader, both launched in May 2014 at Interpack. Mr Giese adds, "We will also be exhibiting the smallest multihead weigher on the planet." The Xray model and grader will be introduced into the French market at Emballage.
The process and planning involved in exhibiting at Emballage takes time. Mr Giese explains, "We start in June – so there is approximately five months of planning involving two people. We have also invested in new stand materials to allow for the larger space we have booked this time (over 150m2)."
Mr Giese points out the main ways to attract the attention of visitors at Emballage, "Noise, movement, colour, unusual images and pre-show noise (Direct Mail/ Electronic DM, PR , advertising etc) and follow up of key customers by our sales force and the showcase of innovative machines."
