India has signed memorandums of understanding(MoUs) and agreements in agriculture and allied sectors with 52 countries, in a bid to strengthen its reach in agriculture across the globe.
The pacts were signed to provide better agricultural facilities for cooperation in the fields of agriculture and allied sectors in areas such as research and development, capacity building, germ-plasm exchange, post-harvest management, value additional/food processing, plant protection, animal husbandry, dairy & fisheries and enhancing bilateral trade, Dr Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, Indian minister of state for agriculture and food processing industries said recently.
The recent cooperation was with the Indonesian minister of agriculture, Dr Ir. H. Suswono with whom Dr Balyan hold a bilateral meeting in agriculture and allied sectors.
The discussion was aimed at strengthening the strategic cooperation in the field of agriculture and allied sectors between the two countries.
The discussions concluded on a positive note with both sides agreeing for expediting all bilateral proposals for early conclusion.
