Core Tip: Seipasa's biopesticides, biostimulants and nutrients stand out for their effectiveness and stability.
Seipasa's biopesticides, biostimulants and nutrients stand out for their effectiveness and stability. Unique formulations, patents that support them, reference brands in Zero Waste®... Seipasa's reputation has been forged with years of intense work, especially in R+D+i, and today, more than ever, it supplies the part of the agricultural sector that strives for excellence, high yields and food health.

The basis of these achievements is the great team of professionals that make up Seipasa, as well as the pioneering drive of its own Experimental Centre, which has been a fundamental tool in the advances achieved in recent years in the path towards zero waste agriculture.

The studies carried out by the company's Experimental Centre have not only helped strengthen the quality and safety of the treatments, but have also become a fundamental part of the process for their creation and development.

What does owning an Experimental Centre entail?
• The Seipasa Experimental Centre, together with the company's laboratory, centralises the entire process of research, product development and efficiency testing in a single space capable of reproducing the conditions of the customer's crops, thus guaranteeing the efficiency of the products.
• Given its design, it makes it possible to introduce and inoculate different pests and pathogens by forcing particular conditions without endangering commercial crops.
• It makes it possible to obtain fast and reliable results on new products in development, and, therefore, to improve formulations and mixes.
• It offers a support service to the customers, since it is possible to carry out tests on request

Six years of intense activity
Since the Seipasa Experimental Centre was inaugurated in 2010, it has been a scene of intense activity. In fact, it even had to expand to the current 3,000 m²; 1,000 m² of greenhouses and 2,000 m² outdoors.

Daily work focuses on two main areas. On the one hand, there is research that aims at the development of formulations. To this end, different tests are carried out in order to evaluate the performance of new treatments before moving on to the pre-commercial stage. There is an evaluation of the various adjuvants, the effective doses, the behaviour of the treatments in the field's real conditions, or the mixtures with other products from Seipasa and with some of the competition, among other parameters.

On the other hand, there are so-called efficacy trials, which aim to determine the efficacy of pre-commercial products before they are released, always comparing them with a control and a reference chemical. Efficacy tests are carried out on the different crops in which treatments will eventually be applied, reproducing the different stress situations that the plant will face.

After all the tests are completed, a protocol is established that allows for the statistical treatment of the results and the product's inclusion (or not) in Seipasa's catalogue of crop solutions.

Asset to stand out in the sector
The Seipasa Experimental Centre is, in short, a firm commitment to continuing innovating and adapting to the increasingly more strict requirements of the Zero Waste market, as well as an asset that helps the firm stand out among other specialised companies in the sector.
