Bannisters’ Farm, the UK’s leading sBannisters’ Farmupplier of frozen baked potato products to the foodservice sector, has introduced a new line of small jacket potatoes to its range.

Littl’uns are smaller versions of the brand’s signature Ready Baked Jacket Potatoes and offer great versatility, whether served solo, as a meal accompaniment or as part of a buffet.

Ideal additions to children’s menus, lighter lunches, snacking options and out of hours choices, Littl’uns are designed with smaller appetites in mind.

The Bannisters’ Farm range uses only British potatoes and Littl’uns are traditionally oven baked, before being quick-frozen to lock in their authentic baked potato taste. They can be stored in the freezer until required and cooked in the microwave in just three minutes, whilst still retaining all of their flavour and nutritional value.

Using frozen products not only offers caterers a convenient way to meet fast turnaround times, but also holds significant advantages when it comes to food waste.

“Waste management continues to be a prevalent issue across all areas of the foodservice industry, from both an environmental and financial perspective. Wasted fresh produce can be very costly, something caterers are keen to avoid, particularly during these difficult economic times,” says Zoe Bannister, commercial director of Bannisters’ Farm. “With frozen potato products, there’s no need to risk over-estimating likely sales and consequently wasting valuable time, money and produce. Our Littl’uns can be kept fresh in the freezer until required, allowing caterers to cook quickly and precisely to order.”
Littl’uns are supplied in cases of 60 potatoes.

The Bannister family has been farming on the Yorkshire Wolds for over 100 years and has been supplying specialist frozen potato products to the foodservice and retail sectors since 1985. Bannister’s Farm’s extensive selection of foodservice products currently includes baked jacket potatoes, potato skins, roast potatoes, mashed potato, colcannon, loaded skins, carrot and swede mash, bubble and squeak, mini filled skins, mini jackets, potato crush and Littl’uns.
