Mars Food North America is planning to expand its manufacturing facility in Greenville, Mississippi, with an investment of around $31m.
The investment will be used in the construction of a new Research and Development Application Center at the facility which will support innovations for Mars Food's brands globally.
Additionally, Greenville facility's manufacturing operations will also be expanded.
Mars Food will create 25 new jobs for its manufacturing and research and development operations.
Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant said: "We are committed to working with Mississippi companies like Mars Food to attract and develop a talented workforce, which helps ensure the state continues to fuel industrial growth."
Mars Food North America president Apu Mody said: "This is an exciting day for Mars Food as this investment will modernize our Greenville facility, increase our site's capacity and allow us to build a state-of-the-art Research and Development Application Center that will serve our global innovation efforts."
Opened in 1978, the Greenville plant initially had five packaging lines and one processing line.
However, new convenience lines, Ready to Heat area, and a milled rice area have been added to the plant, in order to cater to the increasing consumer demand.
The company's Greenville facility produces products under iconic brands such as Uncle Ben's, Seeds of Change, and Abu Siouf, which is exported to the Middle East.
Mars offers a wide range of products including chocolates, rice, sauces, durum wheat, herbs and spices, recipe bases, table sauces, marinades, mustards, relishes, finishing sauce, cheese, whole grain mixes, ready-made meals, and confections.
