Japanese establishment Ichimasa Kamaboko has opened its wholly-owned subsidiary Ichimasa Agrotechnology in Changzhou, China, in a move to cater to the increasing consumer demand for healthy foods.
The company has invested around $36m in Ichimasa Agrotechnology, which will be involved in the industrial production of soilless culture organic fungus and mushrooms.
Ichimasa Agrotechnology also produces ingredients that are used in the preparation of Japanese hot pot and oden.
According to the company, Japanese hot pot is a traditional Japanese delicacy made with pure soup-stock and herbal ingredient and is available in three varieties:Sukiyaki, seafood hot pot and hot pot using ingredients that typically only grow in mountainous regions. Oden can be easily prepared as a soup at any time.
Founded in1965, Ichimasa Kamaboko is engaged in the production and sale of fish paste products.
