Atkins Nutritionals is recalling certain sachets of Atkins Chocolate Candies as its outer cartons were unknowingly packed with sachets of Atkins Chocolate Peanut Candies.
The products associated with the recall include Atkins Chocolate Candies 5 ct sachets with UPC code 637480075558 bearing Best Before Dates from 28 April through 30 April 2016.
These recalled products carry manufacturing lot codes A5118139439C, A5119139439A, A5119139439B, A5119139439C and A5120139439A.
The recall has been initiated after receiving three consumer complaints that few Atkins Chocolate Peanut Candy individual sachets have been placed into outer cartons of Atkins Chocolate Candies - 5 ct. sachets by mistake.
Atkins has investigated the remaining product on hand, and found no instances of the mislabeling.
No other Atkins products have been affected by the recall.
Consumption of the recalled product may cause serious reaction in people allergic to peanut products.
No illnesses have been reported associated with the consumption of the recalled products.
