3M Food Safety has expanded its foodborne pathogen detection solutions range with the introduction of two new advanced 3M Molecular Detection Assays.
In addition to using isothermal DNA amplification and bioluminescence detection technologies, the new 3M Molecular Detection Assay 2 - Listeria and 3M Molecular Detection Assay 2 - Listeria monocytogenes claim to use new chemistry to deliver accurate results, while reducing enrichment times and improving productivity.
These assays are also claimed to accurately detect listeria and Listeria monocytogenes presence in a wide range of foods including dairy products, ready-to-eat and raw meats, fish and seafood, fruits and vegetables by using a streamlined workflow that is 30% faster than first generation assays.
The software enhancements made to the new assays include a redesigned user interface and new features that allow for easier, more efficient data entry and improved administrative control. This includes unique color-change indicator for increased control during assay processing, resulting in fewer steps.
