The vessel “Cielo de Salerno” will arrive at the Loders Croklaan Rotterdam refinery jetty carrying the first 4,500 metric ton shipment of segregated RSPO certified palm oil from Guatemala.

This palm oil is sourced from the NaturAceites palm oil mill, which obtained its RSPO certification at the beginning of this year with the support of the Solidaridad Farmer Support Program. The main objective of this program is to improve the environmental, labor and social performance of palm plantations in Guatemala through implementation of the RSPO Standard. Loders Croklaan joined the Solidaridad farmer support program in 2014.

NaturAceites has been proactive in the implementation of best practices with the aim of improving supply chain sustainability. In less than two years the project resulted in the very first shipment of segregated RSPO certified from Guatemala to Europe, marking another successful milestone in our journey towards a traceable, transparent and more sustainable palm oil supply chain. We celebrate NaturAceites' and Solidaridad's efforts to achieve this important result.
