Hiro Sake, the hand-crafted, premium sake from Japan, has expansion into Mexico, effective January 1, 2016.

Hiro will be imported by Importaciones Colombres and will initially be placed in La Europea stores in Mexico City, Cancun, Puerta Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas. Hiro also has plans to begin distribution in Europe in early 2016, with Italy as the first country to bring in the sake.

Hiro Sake is also happy to announce two major distribution appointments, effective immediately:

In New Jersey, Hiro Sake will now be distributed by R & R Marketing, a part of The Charmer Sunbelt Group
In Ohio, a new market for Hiro, the brand will be distributed by Heidelberg Distributing Company, effective November 2015

"We are poised to achieve triple digit growth in 2015," says Carlos Arana, co-founder and CEO of Hiro Sake LLC. "This has been a very exciting year for our brand as we are constantly met with requests to make Hiro available in new markets. We have built a strong foothold in the U.S. and Puerto Rico and now we are excited to move into Mexico and even to Europe in 2016. We say kanpai, thank you to all that have gotten us here!"

Trade partners and consumers alike see the versatility of Hiro as a great low calorie, low alcohol but flavorful beverage. In June 2015, Hiro Sake was named 'BEST OF NATION' from Japan, the highest award from the San Francisco International Wine Competition. This prestigious award is given to a brand for having the best portfolio compared to others submitted from that country. Hiro also was awarded a DOUBLE GOLD medal and 95 points for its Hiro Blue Junmai Ginjo.

Hiro is hand crafted Japanese sake using only the finest ingredients at the Brewery Taiyo Shuzo, established in 1635 in the Niigata Prefecture. This Brewery is considered one of the finest craft sake breweries in Japan. Hiro offers both Junmai (Hiro Red; 15% ABV) and Junmai Ginjo (Hiro Blue; 15% ABV) sakes. Hiro can be used in an infinite number of cocktails, standing in for vodka, rum or gin and with only half the alcohol of traditional spirits. Hiro is only 39 calories/ounce, additive- and preservative-free, gluten-free (made with rice), histamine- and allergen-free (no allergic reactions) and has 1/3 the acidity of wine (making it easier on the stomach).

Hiro is available in 720ml and 300ml bottles. The suggested retail price for Hiro Red is $29.99/$15.99 and for Hiro Blue is $39.99/$19.99. In addition to Puerto Rico and soon Mexico, Hiro is available in 20 U.S. states: CT, DE, HI, MD, MA, NJ, NY, OH, RI, VA, DC, FL, UT, GA, NC, VT, AZ, CA, NV and TX.
