One of the major developments at the start of the season for the Moguer-based cooperative Cuna de Platero is the introduction of custom labelling, adapted to the needs of each client. To this end, its production team has been receiving specialised training on labelling creation and management. This way, "we are responding to one of the most important demands from our customers while we improve the skills and abilities of our employees," stated Juan Báñez, CEO of Cuna de Platero.
The start of a campaign always comes with developments at Cuna de Platero, with one of its priorities being to achieve job creation, maintaining an average of 2,270 employees.
Another of the major challenges for the cooperative is to stay ahead in a constantly evolving sector; that is why it is committed to innovation, respect for the environment and corporate social responsibility, always introducing improvements to its processes, which in turn improve the quality of the fruit, the energy efficiency and the working conditions of its staff, thus enabling it to offer all services that successfully meet the demands of its customers and the consumers.
In its commitment to energy efficiency, the cooperative is setting up LED and induction lights at its handling plant, hence reducing power consumption, while improving the ergonomics of the workspace, which will have greater brightness. Another of the technological enhancements intended to increase the quality of the products and facilitate the saving of energy is the placement of air curtains in the chambers, which prevent the entry of hot air and keep cold air inside, which results in stable temperatures for the fruit.
Thus, Cuna de Platero continues to introduce innovations in its value chain in order to provide the best solutions to its customers and consumers, while consolidating a financially profitable, environmentally friendly and socially responsible business model.
