Australians have developed a taste for yoghurt-based smoothies says Australian soft serve powder manufacturer Frosty Boy.

Frosty Boy’s ‘Creative Yoghurt Smoothie Base’ product is in high demand, says Felipe Demartini, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Frosty Boy.

“After extensive market research, we realised yoghurt based smoothies would be the next big trend in food, which prompted the Creative Yoghurt Smoothie Base. Sales for this product have been growing exponentially, and we expect the trend to last for at least another 18 months,” said Demartini.

Demartini believes the popularity of yoghurt smoothies is due to consumers wanting fresh and fruity flavours, including unique combinations such as Avocado and Cucumber.

Frosty Boy says the demand for smoothies naturally increases over the summer months with retailers reporting an average sales increase of 15 – 35 per cent during hot weather.

According to Frosty Boy’s latest consumer research, it is also predicting that ice tea will be extremely popular amongst Australians this summer.
