Core Tip: The recall is classified as a Class II health hazard situation, where there is a remote probability of adverse health consequences.
The US-based Huisken Meat Company is recalling around 89,568lb of beef products due to the possible presence of unrelated wood materials, according to the US Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

The recalled products include 2lb boxes with six pieces of "Sam's Choice Black Angus Beef Patties with 19% Vidalia Onion"

These Sam's Choice Black Angus Vidalia Onion products with use by dates of 17 May 2016, 29 May 2016, and 06 June 2016 were manufactured between 19 November 2015 and 9 December 2015.

The recalled products bear the establishment number 'EST. 394A', which is present inside the USDA inspection mark. These items were shipped to retailers across the nation.

The problem was discovered during the production when the foreign material originated with an incoming ingredient.

The recall is classified as a Class II health hazard situation, where there is a remote probability of adverse health consequences from the use of the product.

No illnesses or adverse effects have been reported associated with the consumption of the recalled products.

The company has urged customers who have purchased the recalled products not to consume them, and to either discard them or return them to the store of purchase.
