Symbio Polska, a producer of organic foods, has strongly increased sales in both the fourth quarters of 2015 and throughout 2015 as a whole; however, the company still recorded losses.
In the fourth quarter of 2015, the firm achieved net sales amounting to 10.749 million złoty (2.44 million Euro), up 48 percent compared to the same period in 2014.
The company reported that the sales growth in this period was achieved as a result of a 104 percent growth of retail products and a 22 increase in the sale of semi-finished products (frozen organic fruit and vegetables).
The increase in the sale of retail products was in turn achieved by the introduction of new products to its range and the cooperation with new stores specialised in organic foods.
The net loss in the fourth quarter of 2015 amounted to 301 thousand złoty (68,482 Euro), compared to the 326 thousand złoty (74,170 Euro) net profit recorded a year earlier. For 2015 as a whole, the net loss amounted to 1.24 million złoty (282,119 Euro), compared to a 471 thousand złoty (107,160 Euro) net loss in 2014.
