Crystal Farms has added Garlic Jack and two new snack value packs to its expanding line of cheese offerings to meet growing consumer demand for new flavors, portable protein boosters and new snacking options.
Crystal Farms pairs garlic, a popular flavor and cooking staple, with monterey jack in the all-new Garlic Jack cheese. Also joining the line-up are two new snack value packs - one featuring Spiral String Cheese, a twist of mozzarella and cheddar, and a variety pack of classic Mozzarella String Cheese and Marble Jack Sticks.
"Consumers are looking for portable snack solutions that assist in health management. Cheese snacks provide that convenient, naturally protein-rich solution," said Katie Egan, Senior Brand Manager for Crystal Farms. "Crystal Farms continues to offer consumers new flavors that help make mundane meals special. Garlic Jack is our latest addition to provide mainstream variety in the dairy set."
Made with real garlic, Crystal Farms' Garlic Jack is the first natural garlic cheese to be sold in the dairy section and will be available in block and shredded varieties. Considering the average consumer eats two pounds of garlic annually and nearly 20 percent of Americans consume at least one garlic dish a day, Garlic Jack will provide more flexibility for enjoying the popular ingredient.
According to the Shelby Report's Top Cheese Trends for the New Year, snacking represents 50 percent of all eating occasions, and the number of Americans regularly selecting cheese as their snack of choice is at a 15-year high. Crystal Farms' new snack value packs are a convenient way to satisfy snack cravings while also providing a boost of protein (5-6 grams per stick).
