Prairie Creek Beverages and Southwest Distillery & Winery have entered into a partnership to merge their companies to form Southwest Spirits and Wine (SSW) company.
SSW will operate from its corporate headquarters which will be set up in Dallas, Texas.
The new company will design, produce, service and market alcohol and wine products made at its 100,000ft2 facility located in Dallas for its US customers.
The new entity will be headed by Sarvesh Sharma, with Mike Howard as its president.
Southwest Distillery had acquired the facility in 2014, aiming to become a major player in the Southwest region. By December of 2015, it recorded an output of over 100,000 cases.
Prairie Creek Beverages was established by Mike Howard in 2013 as a consumer brand development company for the wine and spirits industry. Its direct distributor relationships and industry experience allowed the company to sell its products across 35 states in 2015.
Prairie Creek Beverages founder Mike Howard said: "Joining forces with Prairie Creek Beverages enables us to expand beyond the distillery by offering our clients a more robust platform in which to launch or enhance their product. With this joint venture, we are able to deliver a greater value to customers and for that, we could not be more thrilled.
"With our expanded spirits portfolio and multiple levels of product services offered, we hope to enhance our current relationships with valued distributor partners such as Southern Glazer's, Breakthru Beverage and RNDC by providing more products and larger sales volume opportunities."
SSW will consist of a group of master blenders, distillers, and beverage sales/marketing professionals with knowledge and experience in distillation, formulation, blending, production, packaging, federal & state compliance, distributor management, and trade marketing.
