WestCoast Group, one of the leading frozen food manufacturers and distributors, has been selected as finalist for the Seafood Excellence Global Awards, a seafood product competition, at this year’s Brussels Seafood Expo. The competition will be part of a fair to be held at the Belgian capital from April 26 to 28, 2016.

As per a press release issued by the company, three of the company’s products – Konkani Shrimp Triangles, Makkai Crusted Shrimp Acapulco and Malai Papad Shrimp; would be competing with 30 other products from 15 countries, for the best retail product award. The products are developed by well-known Indian chef Vikas Seth.

Shivam Gupta, director, WestCoast Group, states, “It is a proud moment for the WestCoast family as we are the only seafood company representing India at the finals of the prestigious seafood show. Our effort has been to develop innovative food that has universal appeal, yet maintaining its distinct Indian flavour. Our selection in finals is a testimony to the quality we represent as a brand, our culinary expertise and growing universal appeal for Indian flavour.”

Konkani Shrimp Triangles are minced prawns marinated with Maharashtrian style masala stuffed in a filopastry sheet; Malai Papad Shrimp is creamy minced shrimps coated with papad; and Makkai Crusted Shrimp Acapulco is a Mexican style minced shrimps coated with corn.
