Melbourne-based organic food brand, Loving Earth, has just arrived in the UK, bringing its range of raw organic chocolates and wholefood products to in-the-know foodies and conscious consumers alike.

Literally years have been spent cultivating its process to produce rich, creamy chocolate that contains no cane sugar, dairy, or preservatives.
Since the company launched in Australia in 2007, Loving Earth has led the way creating its unique organic, fairly traded and wild-crafted foods. Taking pride in a philosophy based on the principles of Healthy, Sustainable and Fair, flavour is of the utmost importance for Loving Earth.
Loving Earth's range of raw organic fair trade chocolates and activated breakfast cereals which are all gluten, GMO and soy free - champions three core principles:
Bean to Bar
Making the chocolate from bean to bar, there is awareness of every stage of the process. There are no shortcuts at any part of the journey, from the Ashaninka growers who harvest the cacao pods in the rainforests of Peru and Brazil's Acre state, all the way to the compostable film and post-consumer recycled fibre-board the chocolate is packaged in. The cacao beans are unroasted, meaning the cacao is really raw, full of antioxidants and rich in flavour. By harvesting a single crop, truly indigenous to the bio-diverse amazon jungle, the resulting flavour is complex and unique, with floral notes that invoke a sense of the rainforest.
Wholefood
Loving Earth is committed to using whole foods from certified organic sources, as ingredients. This means they contain no preservatives, pesticides or herbicides. It also means its vegan mylk and caramel chocolates develop their creamy taste and texture from whole cashew, coconut and hazelnut. Every ingredient listed is a recognisable food source - no numbers or chemical names. This is real food.
Collaborating with Community
It's not just about full-flavoured, fair trade chocolate. It's also about recognising the valuable history of the indigenous communities that produce these ingredients. Loving Earth takes an 'on the ground' collaborative approach, helping producers achieve organic certification and establishing them as a business for trade. The company has a history of working with grower cooperatives and wild-crafted foods, sourcing produce from indigenous groups in Mexico, Indonesia, Peru and Australia.
Chocolate made from raw cacao is Loving Earth's main passion. Simple yet revolutionary in its approach, the rich creamy flavour is achieved without any cane sugar or dairy. Instead, it begins with raw Certified Organic Fair Trade Cacao sourced from the Ashaninka people of Peru. The beans travel 50km by canoe before arriving at the nearest road. Left unroasted to preserve the natural flavour and phytonutrients, then sweetened with Organic Evaporated Coconut Nectar - naturally low in GI - the products contains twice the amount of antioxidants of normal chocolate.
