The Season Two of food safety month, an initiative to spread awareness on standards, observed by Equinox Labs saw nation- wide participation of around 450 food business operators (FBOs).
The season saw a greater participation by people across the nation– with around 1,000 signups. With around 450 FBOs, 1,000-plus participants and 3,820 downloads. Speaking on the success of the initiative, Ashwin Bhadri, CEO, Equinox Labs, said, “Next season, we will aim for even more participation and awareness, with a wider pan-India appeal than before. Our primary motto revolves around spreading awareness and helping companies maintain standards. Such campaigns help the public in taking notice of the various aspects involved in food safety, and help food businesses fill gaps in quality maintenance.”
The campaign was aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of food safety. With increased awareness, more companies will realise the need for regular audits and tests.
The event included of various activities– both online and offline, such as puzzles, quizzes, and webinars on five themes for the entire month. The event also focussed on topics like personal hygiene, food storage, food processing, cleaning and sanitation, and packaging and labelling.
