China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region said it will partner with Argentine conglomerate Grupo Insud to build an Angus cattle complex in the western province where many of the country's Muslim Hui ethnic minority live. The complex will include a 30,000-head Angus breeder farm to serve about 10,000 contract farmers. It will also build a 50,000-head feedlot of its own and a 100,000-head processing plant for halal beef. Construction of the complex is expected to finish in 3-5 years.
