Chensi, the president of Zhanjiang Aquatic Product Export and Import Enterprises Association, said that the Expo built a cooperation, communication and investment platform for aquaculture industry, which could expand Chinese aquaculture industry’s communication and cooperation with foreign countries, facilitate domestic enterprise exploiting internal and outside markets and provide driving force for the transformation and updating of Chinese aquaculture industry.
 
It’s know that Zhanjiang is the big city of aquatic product production, processing and export, which has formed integrated industry chain. And Zhanjiang’s farming, processing and export leads other cities all the way. As Chinese biggest shrimp farming, processing and trading base, its shrimp index has become the wind indicator of the shrimp market price in the whole country. According to Zhanjiang Customs, the aquatic and seafood product import and export grow at a rapid speed this year. From Junuary to May, Zhanjiang exported as many as 30, 000 tonnes of aquatic and seafood products, double the growth rate of last year.
 
The general manager of Zhanjiang Haifeng Aquaculture Co. Ltd, Mr. Huang Weijun, stated that the Expo not only promoted the products of Chinese enterprises in domestic market but also brought the opportunities for Chinese enterprises to expand its international market. The solar sterile glass house, producing line and matched chilling, freshness-keeping and sewage disposal system invented by Haifeng Aquaculture was looking for opportunities to enter into international market.
 
Mr. Li Xianrui, the CEO of India Haiguang Trade Co. Ltd, said that he had been doing aquatic and seafood product business in Indonesia for 5 years. He attended the Expo and brought crystal fish ball product by its company, which used yellow tail fish as the ingredient without additives. He also added that its crystal fish ball was exported to China, Malaysia, Thailand and other countries.
