CCTV exposed 19 kinds of well-known milk powder through cross-border online shopping for not conforming to Chinese standards
A financial program of CCTV tested 19 kinds of milk powder from Germany, America, Japan and Netherlands on Jingdong Mall, Tmall and Taobao, and the results indicated that more than 40% of the products did not conform to Chinese standards for unqualified nutrient substances. Experts did not recommend milk powder through cross-border online shopping, because their formula might not meet the nutritional requirement of Chinese baby, and high risk of fake and shoddy products existed as well.
CFDA notified the information of 12 batches of unqualified food
Recently, CFDA organized sampling inspection on 624 batches of samples of 8 kinds of food including meat and meat products, fruits and its products, aquatic products, grain and its products, edible oil, oils & fats and its products, and beverages, etc. Thereinto, 12 batches of the above products were unqualified, including 2 batches of meat and meat products for ractopamine, 3 batches of fruits and its products for acesulfame, 5 batches of aquatic products for excessive microorganism. Therefore, CFDA issued an analysis about the risks of ractopamine and acesulfame.
