The market for frozen products has been growing for several years, reflecting the rising interest in these products among Polish consumers. Quantitatively, frozen fruit and vegetables are the largest category of frozen products, representing more than 30 percent of the total market. The season for frozen vegetables and fruit falls in the period from November to April. Nearly 70 per cent of Polish households use frozen fruits and vegetables in the preparation of meals, according to experts of group Hortex.

"Over the last year, the frozen fruit and vegetable market has grown by 5.8 percent in terms of volume and by 7.4 percent in terms of value. The increase has affected all segments. The fastest growth (at double digit rates) has been achieved by vegetable mixtures. The total value of the market amounted to nearly 770 million złoty (about 173.47 million Euro), with sales of over 92 million kilos," reports Hortex.
