The government in Vietnam is reviewing the country's farming products such as vegetables, pepper, and cashew nuts, with the ultimate goal to increase exports to ASEAN members. The review is also planned to look for ways of increasing trade activity between members.
Deputy Prime Minister Trịnh Đình Dũng told a recent meeting about trade relations between Vietnam and ASEAN that he had also asked the ministry to identify the demand for goods in ASEAN markets and look over the competition in markets with similar economic conditions and production capacity as Vietnam's. Using the data from the analysis, the ministry will identify products which may present an advantage for export to ASEAN countries.
