In a big move, McCain is looking to increase their current production of french fries by over 400 million lbs. The company is already the world's largest producer of frozen potato products and employs around 20,000 people around the world. The company has not yet confirmed where the new increase will take place however but it is likely to begin within a few months.

This news follows similar initiatives that have recently taken place for the company in other parts of the world including Europe. They previously announced a $65 million initiative for its facility in Florenceville, New Brunswick (Canada), increasing its capacity there by more than 100 million lbs. According to the company, these investments are reactionary and are planned to help keep up with demand for their products around the world.
