Core Tip: OK Food is recalling breaded chicken products that may be contaminated with foreign materials, specifically metal.
OK Food is recalling breaded chicken products that may be contaminated with foreign materials, specifically metal. The recall was triggered by five consumer complaints stating that metal objects were found in the ready-to-eat products. FSIS inspection personnel also found the metal objets during verification activities. No confirmed reports of injury or illness have been received to date.

You can see the long list of recalled products, along with the package sizes and case codes, on a PDF issued by the USDA. Some of the products include SmartFoods4Schools ABC chicken nuggets, Chickentopia breaded chicken breast patties, Great Value chicken breast patty, Save A Lot chicken breast nuggets, Spring River Farms chicken fries, Lake Liner Logo chicken nuggets, and TenderBird chicken breast patties, among others. Look at that list carefully to see if you have purchased any of them.

These products were made on various dates from December 19, 2016 through March 7, 2017. They all have the establishment number “P-7092” inside the USDA mark of inspection. They were shipped to retail locations and institutions nationwide.

If you purchased any of these products, do not eat or serve them. Throw them away or take them back to the place of purchase for a full refund.
