Two ships loaded with products from Rio Negro will depart to international markets. They will transport pears, apples, and juices from the Alto Valle to the United States and to European countries. The ships will depart from the port of San Antonio Este.

One of the ships is being loaded with 4000 bins of fruit juice and 2000 pallets of fruit destined to the United States and the other ship is being loaded, simultaneously, with 320 containers of pears and apples destined for European countries. The cargo belongs to the Mo?o Azul, Pai, Patagonia Fruit, Ecofrut, Kleppe, and Tres Ases companies, among others.

Governor Alberto Weretilneck praised the work being done and said that the simultaneous loading of concentrated apple and pear juices to send them to the United States and Europe synthesized the effort of producers, workers, packers and exporters.

He also said it was a good season, and that loading both shipments was a sign of the improvements made in competitiveness. “We are going to have a better year, so far everything is going very well,” he added.

“All the markets are demanding and we have strong competition from Chile, South Africa, and New Zealand. Despite this, in general terms, it will be a positive year,” Weretilneck said.
