"The machine has been designed with the objective of being easy to use and to maintain, while taking advantage of cutting-edge technology. I would like to emphasize that the product runs on a conveyor belt that requires minimal maintenance. Another advantage is given by the fact that our electronics, although very simple, allow us to work with conveyor belts because they are always able to process the fruit, even without a constant step transport system. This allows us to work with products characterized by non-homogeneous shapes," explains Ruggero Ricci, owner of the company.
The heart of the calibrator is its electronics, whose components are easily available on the specialized market. This technology allows the final user to be autonomous in terms of maintenance of the machine. The tubers, once loaded into the machine, run on the tape and, as they pass through the viewing cabin, the cameras detect their size. Depending on the lengths detected by the cameras, a pneumatic system pushes the product into the corresponding outlet. The expulsion force is adjusted by means of a special register, which may vary depending on how delicate the product to be processed is.
"The design of the machine can be modified according to the customer's needs and can be modulated in terms of dimensions, hourly production and number of exits. Should it be necessary, the customer can also add a stamping machine to customize the product", declares Ruggero Ricci.
