JD Fresh announced their plan to establish a global fruit brand alliance on September 6th in Hong Kong. The first group of participants consists of 18 well-known, international companies in the fruit industry. JD Fresh also used the fruit alliance to display a fruit "world map" that shows their activities on 6 continents. JD Fresh aims to establish close cooperation with the global alliance members in areas such as product packaging, allied orders, introduction of new products, and promotion of new marketing channels. The global fruit alliance will provide a more precise and focused fruit consumption experience with greater price-quality ratio for common consumers.

The participants in the global fruit alliance are leading companies in the industry from all continents, for example the world leader in kiwifruit, Zespri from New Zealand in Oceania; an international fruit trader with more than 70 years of experience, Capespan from South Africa; a strawberry producer with more than 100 hundred years of experience, Driscoll's from the USA; a company that obtained the highest food safety certification, Fruit Masters from The Netherlands in Europe; and the fruit exporter and global role model, Prize, from Chile in South America.
