"It is becoming a trend that overseas grapes arrive in bulk. They are then packaged, here, in the Netherlands. With these new packaging machines, we are responding to the retail market's needs. They want packaging that is transparent and user-friendly and less harmful to the environment."
The first two top seal machines have already been installed at the company's location in the Dutch towns of Barendrecht and Drunen. The other will soon be taken into use at their packaging location in De Meern. The machines have a capacity of no fewer than 3.000 packs for hour. "We initially purchased them for a grape client. However, with a different mold, we can easily package soft fruit or blueberries", says Menno. "There are endless possibilities. We can supply resealable top seal packaging, with or without labels or pre-printed film."
Europe Retail Packing bought the machines from Het Packhuys in Tholen. "Het Packhuys' owner, Pierre Hagenaars, gave us good advice. Up to now, we have been very satisfied", says Menno. "We are proud to be able to offer a new a new type of packaging. Of course, interested parties can contact us to see what possibilities we can offer them."
