In order to face the growing market demand for quality probiotic food supplements, Lallemand Health Solutions is investing in a brand new bacterial production plant in Mirabel, Canada.
Using state-of-the-art equipment and production process, the new facility, which covers an area of 1,10,000sq ft and should be operational by summer 2019, will comply with the highest quality standards and good manufacturing practices (GMP) guidelines for the production of food supplements probiotics.
Lallemand already operates two other bacterial production plants in Canada, both certified by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) Quality Systems GMP for dietary supplements, as well as a pharmaceutical GMP conditioning and packaging facility in Quebec and a pharmaceutical GMP certified facility in France.
With this new asset the company will be able to double its probiotic bacteria production capacity. To support this important expansion, it has opened several positions in production and quality control, along with many more posts available in the near future.
