Responding to popular demand, Ben & Jerry’s has recently unveiled three new cookie dough ice cream flavors.
The newcomers – Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Core, Sweet Like Sugar Cookie Dough Core and Wake & “No Bake” Cookie Dough Core – join Ben & Jerry’s original Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream variety.
Ben & Jerry’s first started putting chunks of raw cookie dough in vanilla ice cream in the late 80s, following fan suggestions.
“We wanted to give our fans a chance to expand their love of our cookie dough flavors and offer both classic and entirely new combinations. In trails, our fans clamored for the new Cookie Dough Core flavors,” explained Craig Koskiniemi, flavor guru at Ben & Jerry’s.
The Chocolate Cookie Dough Core variety is cookie milk ice cream with fudge chips and a chocolate chip cookie dough middle, while the Sweet Like Sugar Cookie Dough Core is almond ice cream and shortbread cookies on one side and cherry ice cream with cherries on the other side. The middle is made of sugar cookie dough. Lastly, the Wake & “No Bake” Cookie Dough Core is vanilla ice cream with peanut butter cookies, peanut butter ice cream with fudge chips, and a no-bake cookie dough center.
The company says all three new products are made from heat-treated flour and pasteurized egg yolks. Prices of the new cookie dough flavors range between USD4.29 – USD4.99.
